slowly but surely

A quick update on the bag...

After my initial fiasco, all is well--I've finished the main sides and am now working on adding the bottom.

I discovered a helpful solution to containing the random bits of thread that get snipped here and there and usually end up on the carpet, or me: A 3 x 3" piece of felt. Worked like a charm!

See?

Onward and upward!

Wow! It's looking great. Good idea about the felt. I'll remember that one of these days when I actually sew something! I do have a yarn project started though....

The white you see on the inside is the interfacing... I have not yet added the lining, which looks a lot better! I think next time I will use the iron on interfacing vs. the sew on kind... it will just be that much easier. I like easy. :)

ah. i thought the interior was a patterned white fabric but now i see that that's the exterior fabric showing through (?). i have some interfacing. bought it for something, can't remember what. but it's the iron-on kind. if i come up with something to use it for AND remember i have it and use it--i'll let you know how easy/uneasy it is.
