time flies

Hello there! It's been awhile, but you haven't changed one bit. Life has been a little busier around here... Mostly due to this little guy:

Our new dog! His name is Dexter Truman (we're calling him Dex), and he will be 10 weeks old this week. We are having a blast with him!

Our neighbor has two golden retrievers; this one is always peeking over to keep an eye on Dex. We hope to introduce them soon.

The mornings I used to spend so dearly caring for my plants have been replaced with potty training and playing with toys... But I was happy to find the other day that my yellow squash is actually producing fruit.

I can't wait to eat it!

Be well!

I love the teapot pattern. Is there a whole set available?

Dexter is adorable. Thanks for the photos and keep them coming.

What cute little guy. I didn't know his middle name was Truman...to cute...and such a grown up name for pup:) I can't wait to see what else you have been working on. A quilt sounds awesome! You try it and then teach me:) Hugs!

Hey Min,

I wanted to share a recipe I made today. I also made up the recipe and it was one of those ventures that turned out really good and I will definitely be doing it again.

I marinated talapia (orange roughy would be good, as would any firm-fleshed, sweet white fish) in yellow mustard, which I thinned down a bit with water. I marinated the fish over-night. I then breaded the fish with Italian flavored bread crumbs and fried it in a little olive oil. It turned out crispy and very good. You could spray a baking dish, put the breaded fish in the dish, spray a little Pam on top (or drizzle a little olive oil or butter on top) and bake. I was in a hurry so I fried it. Let me know if you ever try it.

I also have a good recipe that I want to send you using squash. Have you harvested yours yet?
