I never thought I'd be the type to a) buy organic, b) make homemade dog treats, or c) make organic dog treats. Yet here I am. Owning a puppy changes things, I guess. Actually, this was a really fun experiment--I've never baked with brown rice flour or oat flour before...
It's a little fickle, and not so cutter-friendly. Or the recipes from this book are not so accurate. (Adorable book, even sans accurate recipes...) I'm supposed to be able to cut the cookies right out, but not so...
I ended up baking spoonfuls, pressed down into psuedo-sugar cookies (even though they were apple cheddar cookies!)
Either way, Dex was pleased with them. He doesn't mind if they're not Martha-Stewart-worthy. :)
I love that last pic of Dex. He is so cute! What a fun experiment...I want to try my hand at some of those one of these days. Hey, for dog biscuits they look great:)
ps--thanks for the pumpkin soup recipe. I can't wait to try it. Yum!
