So now I have all the pieces cut out. It took about two hours for this part! I was jonesin' bad for one of those rotary cutters, maan...I actually saw some today at Walmart, reasonably priced ($10-$14), but decided I have to actually DO some sewing and see if I like it before I can justify the purchase. Sigh. Motivation is a good thing, girls.
Now I have a large pile of patterned fabric, interfacing, and lining ready to be put together. Dum dum dummm...

i love this post! i like the whole "mindy-in-action" vibe. with the beautiful fabric carefully pinned... and, the pic of the bag looks very cute and like a very handy size to have. of course, you're fabric choice is far superior. that must be the nicest thing about sewing--picking the fabric.
crap. i mean "your fabric choice", not "you're fabric choice"...sigh. i think i'll go stand in the corner now.
This bag rocks! Ok...I really need a sewing project. I can't wait to see it complete :)
Tess, you're right about the fabric choosing! Although with my indecisive nature, sometimes it takes a long time. But it's fun to customize. :)
Leez, you DO need a sewing project! You should make a little gardening bag to hold your tools or something :) Or a gardening apron!! I've been wearing my kitchen apron when I garden because it's so easy to throw scissors/gloves/whatever in the pockets...and keeps me clean, because I'm messy in whatever I do usually! :) I'm tempted to make one just for gardening with discount fabric...It would be easy to make a pattern from my other apron with newspaper...
